Jack Bauer Approved: KDE 4 on 24!

For those of you who are fans of 24 and watched the 4:00 AM - 5:00 AM episode this week, you got to see a little KDE 4 action on the screen. It turns out the terrorists are using a KDE 4 desktop to help further their evil plots. While I'd prefer to see Chloe doing some datamining using Nepomuk, any publicity is good publicity ;-)

This is not the first time that KDE has been seen on 24 or other shows like Alias, but this is the first time that I think I have seen a KDE 4 variant on TV. Also, look very carefully at the photos below, and you will see that it looks like the picture frame plasmoid and the SVG analog clock plasmoid are being used on the desktop. The analog clock is very appropriate for a show like 24! Please see this episode on Hulu to check out all the details.

First screenshot of KDE 4 in action with the terrorists

Another shot with KDE 4.2 on a nice widescreen monitor.. the terrorists know how to buy equipment

This is a screenshot of a different laptop that the terrorists had in their van. I'm not sure if it's KDE or a custom job done for the show. Sorry for the blur, the screen looks clearer when viewed in the video.
